Relatively new pipe smoker, I had my wife, watch this video with me, and it helped her to understand why I am attracted to this new hobby. The interaction between the two of you And support showed for each other really helped to make pipe, smoking acceptable, not in the house, but acceptable, and now she even supports it and sees sll the positive benefits

My wife was totally supportive of me picking up the pipe again . She enjoys the smell. Particularly the aromatic

It was wonderful to hear your lovely wife’s perspective and how supportive she is of you and your enjoyment of smoking a pipe. She has a wonderful demeanor and you two appear to be blessed in having one another. She’s also done a wonderful job with PCS!
I wish my wife was as supportive all around. Granted, she doesn’t really care that I smoke a pipe, (as long as it’s not in the house), but she doesn’t appear to care whether I do or don’t, or what it does for me.
I enjoyed hearing the Katydids in the background of your video. We hear them here normally late July or in the early August time frame. It’s a sign normally that summer will be beginning to draw to a close. When I lived in Virginia, I would hear them earlier in the summer and it’s a sound that I wish I could hear all summer. It added a nice background to your video.

Alan & Alex, my husband has been a pipe collector and smoker all of our married life. (soon to be 37 yrs). I am with you Alex, its important for our men to have an outlet that they can enjoy to relax and relish in their Blessings, right? Thanks for reflecting the Love & Respect that the world out there needs to observe these days. Thanks for your willingness for us to share in your lives in the tranquil world of pipe smoking.

Another interesting video. Great to hear your wife’s prospective. I don’t really remember my wife and I having a conversation about me starting pipe smoking. I was a cigar smoker of about five years when we met and I remember telling her that I wanted to start pipe smoking. I remember that she was with me when I purchased my first pipe; a Dr. Grabow from Walmart. At the time I only smoked it casually mostly due to not having a pipe mentor who could show me the proper techniques. Now here I am twenty some odd years later with about sixteen pipes and a cellar of about thirty or so blends and the wife never really complains about new pipes or tobaccos appearing. BTW my wife is not a big fan of English blends either.

Sir, with all respect, your relationship with your lovely wife is your own, but that sounded more like an interrogation than an interview! 🤔😆 The tone of your questions would have made me think I was in trouble !! LOL
That sad, your wife’s support is wonderful. My bride supports my pipe (and cigar) smoking. I, too, find it relaxing and reflective. It reminds me of days with my grandfather, ages ago, watching him smoke his cobs with Amphora tobacco. The memories for your children, I imagine, will be just as sweet. Cheers!
