Session II of The Pipe Cottage Book Club kicks off on August 1, 2025, and we’d love for you to be part of it.
This isn’t just another book club—it’s a place to connect with like-minded people, explore big ideas, and share your thoughts in a welcoming space. Led by Dr. Alan Harrelson, you’ll get access to curated reading lists, our lecture series, and traditional perspectives that inspire and challenge you.

What’s Included?
For this new session, we will focus on 20th-century critics of the modern world. We will dive into select writings from Pope Leo XIII, GK Chesterton, Belloc, CS Lewis, Tolkien, the Southern Agrarians, and a few others.
We will focus on key texts and full-length books that introduce and explain how tradition-minded writers and thinkers sought to challenge the so-called “progress” of modernity. We will also read supplemental essays and articles that further wrestle with the ideas and narratives presented in the main texts.
All memberships will be seamlessly hosted within Pipe Cottage Social, so you can access everything in one familiar place—no need to juggle multiple platforms or create new accounts.
